Newcastle University

24 April 2008

The food & Rural Development Department of Newcastle University have purchased sixteen small free range Poultry Houses which were delivered to the University Farm near Morpeth.

Newcastle University had the sixteen houses delivered only to the University Farm for the students to assemble before using as part of a study project. Each of these small Poultry Houses are manufactured to house a maximum of twelve birds depending on the breed and are mounted on legs so the house can easily be moved around.

In August 2009 the University ordered eight runs to be attached to the above houses as part of their continued study.
